Travel Planning Resources
Airbnb: Hands-down my favorite way to book accommodation while traveling! I’ve used Airbnb across the United States, and in countries like Spain, Croatia, Mexico, and more. Get $40 off your first trip!
Booking.com: When I’m not staying in Airbnbs, I usually book my hotels through Booking.com. I like that there are a lot of filters to make searching easy, and I can sometimes find better deals (including perks like free breakfast, or flexible booking) versus booking directly with the hotel.
HostelWorld: When I’m planning a longer-term or lower-budget trip (or if I simply feel like meeting more likeminded folks while traveling) I LOVE staying in hostels. Most hostels offer mixed gender dorms, male or female only dorms, and/or private rooms.
Scott’s Cheap Flights: My FAVORITE resource for scoring good deals on flights. I used the free version for a long time, but recently upgraded to the premium plan ($39 per year) which sends flight deals departing from my local airports. There are even mistake fares every now and then!
Kayak: I like to use this site for searching for flights, since you can view multiple airlines at once. You can also input flexible dates and routes. However, I typically book directly through the airline once I’ve found a flight option I like.
Rome2Rio: Super helpful resource for planning out travel routes between any two destinations. It will show you any and all available flight, train, bus, or ferry options, saving you a lot a research time!
Travel Blogging Resources

Bluehost: They’ve been my website host since I launched The Wandering Blonde in February 2015! Having reliable host makes starting and running a travel blog so much easier.
Awin: If you want to get serious about making money through blogging, I recommend joining an affiliate program like Awin. Through this platform, you can earn commissions from all sorts of companies, like Etsy, Lonely Planet, Agoda, and more.
*All of the above are companies and resources that I use to plan my travels and manage my blog. I can personally vouch for all of them! Some of these links are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thanks!!*
