So, I guess this is it.
I’m actually starting a travel blog.
I can’t even begin to explain how long I’ve wanted to do this–or all of the reasons why I ultimately never did until now. But I guess that’s how it always starts, right?
Anyways, I’m incredibly excited to share my stories, pictures and ideas with the travel blogger community–and more importantly, I can’t wait to start learning from and connecting with other bloggers.
So, I think I’ll dedicate my first post to helping you learn a little more about me:
Who is The Wandering Blonde?
- I’m 23 years old.
- I’ve lived in Houston, TX since December 2014 and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite cities in the USA.
- I work an 8-5 job in marketing.
- I recently moved in with my long-term boyfriend, Derek.
- I have possibly the biggest sweet tooth of anyone I’ve ever known–seriously, if it has chocolate on it, no matter what it is, I’ll eat it.
- I’m a bit obsessive about planning trips, even if I have no intention of actually taking the trip in the near future. And I’m not talking about Googling pretty pictures…I mean researching flight/train routes, selecting potential hotels, and mapping out activity schedules in each city. I know, it’s strange.
- I really love the art of photography, although I don’t consider myself to be very good. I love taking pictures, but I love looking at other photographers’ work just as much.
- My most memorable travel locations (so far!): Machu Picchu and Pileh/Loh Samah Bay
- My biggest bucket list destination: Currently it’s Romania, but it seems to change weekly!
- No, I’ve never dyed my hair! 😉

Thanks! I’m actually not really sure yet–looking at locations in Europe because I haven’t been in a while but I’m honestly probably just going to choose based on flight prices. But, I’m particularly interested in Denmark, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany right now.
